CLARA PECHANSKY, draftswoman, painter, engraver

Born in Pelotas, state of Rio Grande do Sul (RS), Brazil, in 1936.

Bachelor in Painting. Professor in Drawing and History of Art. Free studies on Painting, Drawing, Woodcut, Lithography and Etching with distinguished Brazilian Art Masters. Over 40 personal exhibits in museums and art galleries in Brazil and abroad. Selected and invited for more than 80 International Printing and Drawing Exhibitions, was awarded 3 international prizes:

• Radna Organizacija Nikola Tesla Prize - Tuzla, Iugoslavia - 1988 - Drawing.
• Recognition Award - Art Prospect '96 - La Jolla, California, USA - 1996 - Drawing.
  
• Honorable Award - 12th Mni Print Exhibition - Binghantom, NY, USA - 1997 - Printmaking.
